About
Welcome to the blog that supports the book Privacy, Surveillance, and the New Media You by Edward Lee Lamoureux, Ph. D.published by Peter Lang Publishers as part of the Digital Formations Series edited by Steve Jones. Dr. Lamoureux manages this website, with help from Dave Lennie, Bradley University’s Slane College of Communications and Fine Arts Director of Instructional Technology.
The blog provides links to materials related to the coverage found in the book. The intent is to provide interesting, relevant, and timely connections to the many challenges and changes across the rapidly shifting interactive media privacy and surveillance landscape. You’ll find the chapter headings with links to articles under “Categories” in the right column. At the top right of the interface, the “Chapter Update Index” will take you to pages that update specific passages in the book.
From time to time, Dr. Lamoureux will comment on material within the linked articles. The blog is “moderated” for topic relevance and categorization purposes. Editing of articles that appear here will be for length, not content. Selecting the item in the right column displays the article (sometimes with our comments) on this site. Links to the original sources leave this site; we are not responsible for the content or functionality of linked materials.
The site does not accept comments. You are welcome to send comments and suggestions to Dr. Lamoureux at ell@bradley.edu
